September 24, 2021

Dear Friends,

As we continue to navigate these times as a Family of Four Parishes, we’d like to share the following updates:

  • Masks are now required at the 5:00 pm Saturday Vigil Mass at Saints Peter and Paul. If you are seeking a fully masked and socially distant Mass option, please consider joining us!
  • We will be live streaming the 9:00 am Mass at Old St. Mary on our Family of Four Parishes YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/FamilyofFourParishes. The video will remain on the YouTube channel throughout Sunday for those unable to participate live. While in person Masses remain the ideal and the fullness of our celebration of the Eucharist, we recognize the continuing need, in the words of the Archbishop, “to help those prohibited from attending public celebrations to have a sense of connectedness.”

Thank you for your continuing charity and understanding in these days!

Please do not hesitate to contact Fr. Tim (Cell: 414-762-7986; tkitzke@ffpmke.org), Fr. John (Cell: 414-305-3824; jbaumgardner@ffpmke.org), or Fr. Michael (Cell: 262-707-0327; mmalucha@ffpmke.org) if you need anything! Be assured of our love and prayers.

“Thus says the Lord: Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not!” (From the prophet Isaiah, ch. 35)

Dear Friends,

What a couple weeks it has been! As a Covid-19 survivor, my heart goes out in deep support for all still struggling with this awful disease, and in deep sympathy for all who have died, and with gratitude for all caregivers and those who so give of themselves in the medical and first-response community.

I also want to thank you dear parishioners and friends who helped me so much with prayers, cards, communication, food! I thank from the bottom of my heart Fr. John, Fr. Michael, Chad, and our amazing staff for allowing me the space and time for healing.

You know I got a lot of homily material in these past weeks of sickness, so you will be hearing stories, anecdotes, quips, complaints, and any other number of expressions for a long time to come!

But to show my hand a bit, and to tie things to the Holy Gospel this Sunday, I have discovered a new facet of my life with Jesus whom I love with all my heart: JESUS THE HEALER.

Having faced such limits, and listening these days to all the limits of Afghanistan, Haiti, Louisiana, the streets of Milwaukee, and all those limits we all face in the depths of our own broken and painful stories, I hear more loudly than ever the words of Jesus as he cured the deaf man: BE OPENED.

And I will trust the open and utter healing that only our Savior Jesus can bring.

Sincerely, with love,
Fr. Tim

As we continue to navigate these times as a Family of Four Parishes, we’d like to share the following updates:

  • If you or others you know are more comfortable at a fully masked Mass, beginning Saturday, September 4, masks will be required at the 5:00 pm Vigil Mass at Saints Peter and Paul.
  • If you would prefer to receive Holy Communion on the tongue, please receive at the end of the Communion line and receive from the priest.
  • We are working on the possibility of livestreaming Mass and hope to have more details to share soon.

August 11, 2021

Dear Friends,

Peace of Christ. This past Monday, August 9th, our Pastor Fr. Tim Kitzke began experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. He began a self-quarantine, was tested, and learned late on Tuesday, August 10th that he tested positive for the virus. Thankfully, he is resting peacefully at his residence at Holy Rosary Church and has no need of additional medical care.

We’re grateful for the assistance of our priests and staff who have already made arrangements to cover his weddings, funerals, Baptisms, and parish Masses during this time. We’re blessed by a wonderful team who are working hard to ensure things will run smoothly in his absence! Please keep Fr. Tim in your continued prayers and we ask for your patience as he recuperates.

Fr. Tim is fully vaccinated and did not experience COVID symptoms until Monday, August 9th, but we communicate all the same that he was the Presider for the 4 PM and 10 AM Masses at OLDP-St. Casimir this past weekend. Should anyone test positive for the virus because of a possible contact with Fr. Tim at these Masses or in any other way, kindly contact the parish office to make us aware.

Entrusting Fr. Tim and all of us during this unusual time to Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, we remain,

Sincerely Yours in the Lord,
Chad Griesel, Pastoral Associate, Fr. John & Fr. Michael, Associate Pastors
