Deacon G Flies Zero G

Our own Deacon Gary Nosacek recently became the first ordained Catholic clergy – as far as he or the company he flew with knows – to fly weightless. He took part in a Zero Gravity flight over the Nevada Desert on July 11th. The idea for the trip started when Bishop Jeff Haines jokingly told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Deacon Gary is “our circus and rodeo minister, but we haven’t have a guy in space yet. He should work on that.” That began a long series of teasing each other about it. Finally, the Deacon said, “Might as well go do it!”
